People love rowing
for many reasons... from the physical to the metaphysical.
Many seek a full-body, low impact workout that comes with the pure pleasure of being so close to the water and its wildlife and peace. Others rejoice that rowing and sculling requires no gasoline!
Many of us are lucky to live in a place where there's no ice, and we can safely
row all year midst the mountains, trees, wildlife and waters of the Northwest.
Whatever your motivation, Evergreen Rowing can help fulfill your dream of being on the water. Evergreen Rowing is the factory authorized dealer for Maas open water racing shells serving Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Alaska, and British Columbia, Canada. We also sell Dreher oars, Burnham boat covers
, Stormy Seas shorty PFDs and
Talic slings. We have a complete inventory of new boats and parts in stock (see New Boats for details). And we have one of each model of Maas boats available for demo purposes (see Services for details).

Evergreen Rowing owner Steve Wells began rowing open water boats
more than 20 years ago. He regrets that he only played ball sports in school, and he is one of those who began rowing many years later. He has been competing in Sound Rowers' races on Puget Sound since the Great Cross Sound race in 1987. He attended the Craftsbury Sculling School three times and feels no one has put more quarters in their Laundromat dryer than he has after repeatedly falling into Hosmer Lake. He teaches a style of sculling learned at Craftsbury, Terralba and from WT Arnold. He took over the Maas boat dealership from Alex and Mishelle Maas during the summer of 2000.
